Faadhippolhu Atoll or Lhaviyani is a popular dive destination with very luxury villa type resorts on the island Kuredhoo.

Faadhippolhu Atoll or Lhaviyani is located north of North Male Atoll and east of Baa and Raa Atoll. Kuredhoo (Kuredu) is the northernmost island and a popular resort island with many luxury villa style rooms. The southeast is one large remote reef while the northwest is separated by many narrow channels and ‘populated’ islands. There are more than 50 islets and islands of which only 5 are inhabited. Well known islands are Hinnavaru, Olhuvelifushi, Kurendhoo and Maafilaafushi. Felifaru is known since it has a small tuna canning facility providing the whole region of fresh tuna.

Fahigiri Reef is a popular and shallow reef with fish life and visibilities that surprises even locals. Barracudas, tuna, snapper, nudibranches and manta rays are often spotted. It is a wicked dive destination for both novices as experienced divers. Liveaboard tours pass Lhaviyani Atoll often but many divers prefer taking a seaplane to spent some time on the resorts itself.
