The dive site is actually Ariyadhoo's house reef. Kahambu is the Maldivian name for turtle which can often be seen at the shallow part of the reef; literally thousands of fish swirl around the reef slope which rises gradually from the seafloor at 25m to the top reef at around 4m. The reef features several overhangs that are packed with fish. Dense clouds of reef fish also rise into the water column, attracting all types of pelagic, including white tip reef sharks tunas and reveilles. Cruising along the bottom of the slope are resident napoleon fish, and enormous school of batfish.
